Day 5
We both kept thinking of each other all night. He let me know he was falling for me. And I got scared again. I mean, come on, it’s the 5th day of your relationship. FIFTH DAY. How in the world can you possibly be thinking this man is on his way to being husband #2? You’ve already completely screwed up your life before. You married a loser, he cheated, he lied, you gave him your life and he handed it back to you beaten and battered and bruised and you still feel the after effects of it to this day. You’ve not been smart in the past, how can you think that after this short of a time span that you could really be in love with this guy….
He assures you that honesty and communication are all the two of you need and you’ll be able to face all of the challenges that you’ll undoubtedly face. And he wants to spend time with you and your girls and just you in the coming days.
Small talk back and forth all day, just like the previous three days….agreeing to meet up at the mall that evening…dinner and walking around…he mentioned that he would need to stop in a jeweler soon…I told him I liked amethyst instead of diamonds…
We head to the park so the girls can play. We always share more stories of our lives, more insight into our pasts…and then we have to go our separate ways and it’s painful. It’s been the worst part of our relationship, the fact that we don’t live together.
He told me that I was the one. He promises to be good to me and he promises to be good to my girls. He said he knew it wouldn’t always be this easy but he would stand by me through it all. I sent him a picture of a ring I had designed at Kay Jewelers one day when I was being hopeful I would get married again. He sent me a location for a place he thought would be perfect for my beach wedding idea. He told me he was looking at houses but quickly had to switch areas because of poorly performing school districts. He was thinking of everything. He was just as excited as I was….
It wasn’t just me pushing a guy to take the next step…it was a guy equally excited to be with me and I was to be with him. I finally found what real love is.

P – I don’t want you to make a mistake either. And only want the best for you. I have this strong feeling we can both be very good for each other. Everything will work out so long as we are honest and communicative with each other.
