He Asked, I Said YES!!!!!

I knew it was coming. I mean, we talked about it all the time and especially this week….he’d asked for my ring size again, and he’d mentioned going to the mall….one night while I was doing homework, he’d said he’d had a missed call and read the phone number off, so I Googled it of course, and it was for JB Robinson. I just knew it was coming but I had no idea how or exactly when….

So, I’d dropped the kids off with their dad the previous day and we woke up to just each other! First time for that. He was off and wanted to take me over to Boston Mills to the waterfall that I’d never been to! He had mentioned it a few weeks prior but we just didn’t make the time before. He briefly talked about searching for the ring and not finding what he was looking for so I started to think well, I guess it’s not coming today….

We had lunch at the Olive Garden and stopped into Skeechers for some new kicks, a pair of brightly colored totally-Peter shoes and just a daily simple gray ones for me. We went to Toys R’ Us to get a present for my nephew for his birthday and we visited a few furniture stores as we still needed a bed for our room. We were really enjoying the day together!

So, we headed over to Boston Mills. We walked around a bit, stared at the waterfall a little…there were a lot of people there, well, not a lot but I know Peter is fairly private so I didn’t figure he would do it there. We start to leave and walk down a trail. He is being a little weird, just a little…keeps looking around and saying he loves me and soon, he’d like to make it more official, so with the soon and the chat earlier about not finding the ring, I just started to think it wasn’t going to happen today. We start to walk away and he points out a trail he got lost on before so I suggested we take a little walk down there. I’m standing there, it really is a beautiful day. I’m staring at the sun and as I turn to walk away, he grabs my hand, gets down on one knee, and asked me to marry him with the most beautiful totally-Zaina ring I have ever seen in my life.

I was so excited. I mean, the perfect man, the perfect day, the perfect ring….oh, it was the most beautiful ring I could have ever dreamed of. A LeVian 3.25 karat Amethyst stone with both chocolate and white diamonds. He said he couldn’t resist thinking that the chocolate represented me and white for him. He told me that he went to St.V the other day to light a candle for my dad and ask his blessing…told him, if he was wrong, to send him a sign or something…he’s adorable…I mean, this man is everything I could have ever wanted and more!

We had plans for dinner at Hibachi Japan. It was wonderful, good food, lots of staring at my hand. I mean, I just couldn’t believe it all…so much, so fast, so awesome….He wanted to get Bridesmaids so we could watch a wedding movie that night so we stopped at the video store. The perfect ending to a perfect day.
