It’s Thursday…

…and we all know what that means, right? Tap!!!! If you didn’t already know, I LOVE to tap. I didn’t start tapping until I needed a better talent that a cheerleading routine when I was doing Miss Ohio local prelims. I started tapping, eh, was it 2000, 2001? Anyway, I really sucked back then. Didn’t ever learn a real routine and just got on stage and moved my feet but since January, I’ve been taking lessons with an amazing woman named Judy Cain. She inspires me to continue to do more and be a better tapper and I just want to tap all the time. Bad thing is that I don’t really have a place to practice, and when you practice on a regular floor, it’s really bad for your body so I’m usually tapping on my carpet in my bare feet to make sure I have the steps but no sound…oh well. All that said, I’d love to find a place where I could go practice at least three times a week, but portable floors are expensive and it’s not like I have the room in my apartment, I would bring it to work though….something to think about I guess.

Today, I was a little late getting up, decided not to hit the gym since it was going to be a long day with dancing but I didn’t quite get what I wanted to get done finished. My goal was to make breakfast and lunch and when you’re hopping out the shower at 7:34 and need to leave the house by 7:45, 7:50 at the latest, well, that doesn’t get done. So I had a pack of pop tarts when I got to work this morning, 400 calories, ugh! I don’t really like to eat that much for breakfast but it was either the tarts or starvation and sickness so, well, I’ll do better next time. I’ve not figured out what I will do for lunch today. I actually just remembered that my tap shoes busted and I would like to borrow my moms since they aren’t getting any use at all right now! Guess it was time, I’ve had them for about, what, 8 years, I suppose with all the recent usage, it was due!

Well, not much else to talk about. Don’t have anything planned for the weekend-the BF will be down in WV – he’s taking his uncle to the Pittsburgh/Yankees game tonight which from last night’s score, won’t be a good game for the Pirates. Anyway, he’ll be in WV for the rest of the weekend unless he decides to just show up which, I’m one of those people that likes things planned. I need to know what we’re doing and when and he thinks that things should just happen, we clash over that. Anyway, I’d like to get the apartment cleaned, do laundry on Sunday and come up with a solid workout schedule combining both cardio and strength training cause I’m skimping on the strength training right now so I guess I have plenty to keep me busy.
